Das Umgehungsstraßenprojekt von Davao City, mit dem ca. eine Stunde Verkehrszeit eingespart werden kann, wird in Angriff genommen. Hierzu muss ein Langstreckentunnel gebaut werden.
Dafür haben die Japaner eine Spezialtechnologie. Am 29. Oktober wurden die Verträge mit den Japanern unterzeichnet. Der Bau wird allerdings viele Jahre dauern.

It said the entire bypass road project will be divided into package I-1 (10.7 km), package I-2 (12.8 km), package I-3 (6.1 km), package II-1 (2.7 km), package II-2 (3.5 km), and package II-3 (9.7 km).
